The problem to solve
Connor McManus is a New Orleans-based fine artist. His previous website was a static HTML site that he couldn’t easily update himself. He needed a beautiful, easy-to-manage site to showcase his artwork.
How we helped
- Clarified needs in consulting phase
- Designed and implemented WordPress theme prioritizing clean visual design that puts the artwork first
- Customized WooCommerce to list product (painting) information while allowing purchase on a third-party website
- Created custom options for viewing artwork to allow full and closeup views
- Put site under SSL, implemented smart caching solutions, served images via CDN, and other speed and security optimizations
- Trained and supported Connor as needed to manage the site himself
The result
Connor’s site is a beautiful showcase for his artwork that he can manage himself. It is mobile-friendly, secure, and easy to browse.
